I hope you all never see in person what we've seen for the last few days.
We're out of the impact area and heading home.
The final tally: 7,700lbs of supplies distributed to seven towns in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, and lots of other supplies transported between towns where they were needed and others plentiful.
The destruction in Mississippi in particular is beyond belief or comprehension - neither words nor pictures can convey the reality. Blocks upon blocks of houses, schools, stores, churches, offices reduced to matchsticks and little fluffy bits of yellow insulation everywhere, telephone poles snapped off, mud and sand everywhere, only foundation slabs attest to the existence of someone's home. Entire houses picked up and thrown hundreds of feet onto gas stations, boats in live oak trees twenty feet off the ground.
Thirty foot storm surges five miles inland.
150 MPH winds, for 10 hours.
Where do you even begin?
