Hung out with my buddy Simon tonight. We got to talking about all these people we knew in school, kids we grew up with and shit that had fucked up their lives. Few heroin addicts, lots of fucked up shit.
This one kid, Tom Lima, I used to be friends with my freshman year. He, my buddy Keith and I used to be a fucking crew. He dropped out my sophmore year, and he's been in and out of jail ever since. I guess he became a junky, and was HIV positive last I heard. Fucking depressing shit.
You never really have friends like that again. I mean, this kid gave me my first cigarette. (either a Marb Red or a Camel, I forget which), and, if he's not dead already (haven't heard from him or about him in a couple years) he will be soon.
To quote the immortal Jim Carrol "He was a friend of mine, he died."

Yeah well, you know me. No hard feelings, no grudges. Thanks for not saying anything. I owe you one. Well, actually I probably owe you a million and one, but who's counting, right?
