Visited a place about 20miles away from Taiyuan today, temple complex called Jinci. Very picturesque it was too. Some parts are supposed to be over 3000 years old. Some pics for you to look at.

i've always wondered about china. its current state (of government and it's policies) puts me off a bit. but it does appear to be quite beautiful in parts.
i don't know enough to make a judgement! educate me. (please!)
