hey all!
this weekend was quite fun, I think I haven't had a dull weekend in a long time. I am always so positive!
Friday was really bad actually, the gf asked for me to come over and told me her sister is going to be going to prom. Not that we were seeing her off and escorting her all over and taking 190239284903842 pictures of her and her friends. BORING... UGH!
Saturday I took my cousin and her fiance to philly because my cousin's fiance has never been to philly I took him to see the independence mall area and then around old city since we had a few hours. We did stumble upon a museum I have never been in and it was quite interesting. The National Liberty Museum, it was a museum that told history through glass art telling about that time or that attrocity. It is very cool, it is on chestnut between 4th and 5th. Then we sped home to get ready for my great grandma's 95th birthday party, excellent chinese food.... mmmmmmmmmmmm!
Today I got out of going to a baby naming for my cousin laurie and so did my cousin gale's fiance so I took him to his first ever professional baseball game. Took him to see the Phillies play the Giants. We got pretty good seats and we got to see an excellent game for his first time at a ball game. I feel I was a good host!
oh and on saturday I managed to pick up some records in philly!!!
Melt Banana- Bambi's Dilemna
The newest instalment from this chaotic punk outfit. It was not as chaotic, it still has its chaos and speed but it has man slower parts.
Shellac-Excellent Greyhound
This wasn't there best stuff by far, but I still liked a bunch of the stuff that was on it. Shellac really can't do much wrong by me. Nothing surprised me though I did hear most of the songs during their live past live shows in the past 7 years in the making of this record.
the new Voxtrot
All I have to say is I am glad my friends joe and adam got me hooked on them, this record is excellent... more indepth analasys when I listen to the other side.
Big Black-Songs about Fucking
Really angry and probably steve albini's best and most raw group. I already had it on cd but saw it on vinyl so I jumped all over it.
