WELL, THAT JUST TOTALLY SUCKED A MONKEY'S ASS.
A really bad ice storm just hit us here. I went out to meet my Mom for lunch (she is moving back to San Antonio, and just arrived there from Hawaii on Saturday), then went out to look at used CD's. Right when I got out of the CD store, it was just pouring ice pellets (not the size of hail though) and all the roads were frozen. I went to the grocery store, then it took me probably at least an hour to go only a few miles. I almost got hit a couple of times from stupid fucking people not paying attention, and I hit the curb once after hitting an ice patch, but I made it home. I mean, EVERYTHING was iced over in a VERY short period of time. FUCK. I'm still wound up about it. I got to my complex and just parked in one of the spaces right at the front of the complex. I live in about the middle of the complex, and I wasn't about to try to drive through the complex with the roads frozen. I almost get hit enough just driving through my complex when it's nice outside because the road through the complex is very narrow and you HAVE to drive slow if you wanna be safe, and apparently nobody wants to be safe. I dressed a little nicer today and am wearing black cowboy boots (nothing tacky, just black and plain, I like them), you know, the ones with like ZERO traction on the bottom. Almost killed myself just walking back to my building.
I'm going to lie down now. I think I need a shot of vitamin F. It's 27 degrees right now. Yesterday afternoon it was like almost 80.
