Woo hoo! Went shopping for used CD's last night, found 2 cool CD's. First, found a Megadeth CD for only four bucks (which brings my collection of Megadeth CD's to a total of seven... I think they put out ten CD's before disbanding; the couple that I'm missing weren't that good, so I'm content with what I have). Dave Mustaine has a sarcastic style of writing that I envy; to this day, I think that the lyrics to "Peace Sells" fits me to a T. I've been told that I kinda look like him too. Of course, I've also been told that I look like Axl Rose and the WWF's The Undertaker. Personally, the only person I think I look like is my father.
Anyway, I also found a bootleg CD (I guess it's a bootleg CD... it's not off of their label) of the Dead Kennedys featuring songs from 2 shows in 1979 and 1985. And Jello Biafra's sarcastic writing style is also one that I envy, so it's cool that I found them at the same time. It even had one track I hadn't heard before, so bonus. But I have little respect for the so-called "Dead Kennedys" that are touring these days (basically the rest of the band with a different singer), because it's painfully obvious that they're just trying to cash in on the DK legacy. The so-called "Dead Kennedys" came through Austin during the last South By Southwest music festival; I was planning to attend the show and protest but never made it. I read that a couple of girls were planning on throwing Jell-O at the band but chickened out because of the security guards. Too bad. I think that was a great idea. And I'll consider it if they come through here again. Having the Dead Kennedys without Jello Biafra is like having the Police without Sting; it's just a dumb idea.
But I digest.
Freyja, I'm trying to find a university that has a Radio, Television and Film program. I was considering also majoring in Management, but my mom said that although a Management degree would be fun and easy, it's not specific enough for most employers. Figures. Thinking about the management at my last job, I question whether or not some of them actual made it past grade school. Apparently intelligence isn't a qualification for most managers. Nor is a sense of "right and wrong." But I digest again.
But it's only 34 degrees here right now, a big drop from the day before yesterday. Told ya the weather in Texas is retarded. And my dog is weird, bless her heart. When it's freezing outside (and I'm freezing my butt off walking her), she can't get enough of it. She absolutely loves freezing weather. She'll be shivering, but still won't want to go back inside. Right now she's snoring in the middle of my bed.
Ok, I'll shut up now.
