so.... being a product of my environment as i know i am... i decided to forget about my troubles for a while and just be self indulgent...
super hero movies...
in the last week or so i have watched...
both spider man movies, both x men movies, the shadow, the hulk, blade 1 2 & 3, the incredibles, hell boy, unbreakable, league of extraordinary gentlemen, daredevil, the crow, superman 1 & 2, batman, batman returns, batman begins, catwoman, elektra, the punisher, constantine, mystery men and the powerpuff girls movie (which is amazing )...
my conclusion....
while each film has their ups and downs... some a lot more downs than others...
spider man 2 rocks the top spot for me... the reason... its the most super heroic of them all, while remaining pretty true to the comics and not being to stupid.... bright spandex that doesnt look stupid nor unrealistic... and a true use of super hero abilities... the way doc oc moves is a work of genius and a credit to the animators... the use of his arms to counter balance the strength they put in to them is amazing in every scene....
add to that im a huge spidey fan and can still find very little wrong... and we have a winner...
as im not a big x men fan and even still can find holes...
i know everyone will have their own opinions.... blade 1, x men 2, the incredibles and the shadow all rank very high with me as well.... in my eyes they just have a lot more flaws than spidey... and batman returns also deserves a special mention.... the look of burtons film still remains un beaten... regardless of how good begins was.... and my final special mention... unbreakable... a truly great take on the superhero genre... extremely well delivered and left with a great character and the end of the film...
anyway... enough ramblings from me....
im gonna watch spidey again... followed by the run down... you gotta love the rock... but i'll save that discussion for another time

Blade 1&2's smart.
X-2 is far superior than X-1.
I really liked Daredevil (yeah I know Afflek's in it and the costumes all red leathery)
The Punisher's very good.
Batman (Tim Burton is brilliant)
But for me everytime, I'll sit and watch the Mystery Men makes my number one spot every time... it's the closest to the Watchmen... well until Watchmen comes out that is!
mmm... watchmen!
