How did my show go?
It started off great. Lots of kids where there, about 150 or so based on the door and the number of 21+ bracelets I handed out.
The Touring band, Ghost Buffalo, was running late because of their bus, so I moved the other bands up. No worries. They'd be there when it was time for them to go on. That's rock and roll for you.
The first band played a nice long set and got the crowd pumped up. Lots of people were dancing (moshing) and singing along.
Then the second band was up on stage getting ready to rock when...
THE FUCKING POWER WENT OUT! A transformer blew from being hit by lightening and the entire town was dark. We waited for about a half hour and found out that it would be at least another 2 hours before anyone would even be out to look at the problem. So we had to ask everyone to leave after seeing only one band. I felt like a complete piece of shit.
Ghost Buffalo finally arrived at the time they were supposed to, to see a dark and deserted venue. We sat around and had a beer and then took them out to eat. They ended up crashing at my brother's house. He's the man. He picked up the tab for 10 of us at dinner too, but he can afford it (If you need a new Chevy car or truck, see him at no. 1 Day Chevrolet in Monroeville PA ).
What a fucking night. If I didn't have shitty luck, I wouldn't have any at all. So the plan now is to have a make-up show in a few weeks, and on a Saturday this time, and only charge a buck or two.
Look for Ghost Buffalo on tour now. They have some east coast dates this weekend, coming back through Pittsburgh on Sunday and continuing back to Denver.
I'll ponder fate and such later on. I'm f'ing tired right now... and completely miserable.

Big hugs. Plus it sounds like a huge success before the power blew. So take that as a good, and promo the fuck out of your next show. It'll be good.
