Roller Derby Tryouts were a BLAST!!! I wasn't the fastest out there by any means. But I had a whole lot of fun and did really well at the difficult stuff like falls and rolls and drill type stuff. There were a lot of really good skaters out there, so we'll see how it goes. It was more about determination and trainablility than skill and I felt like I really clicked in with the ladies!!!! I was the only one there besides them that actually took the time to dress though!!! Like a derby girl that is. I did a short, black and red skirt with athlet. shorts, black and white striped knee highs, long sleeve black net shirt with a bright red Sweetie Pie tee over it!! Hair in ponytails and goth makeup!!!
The interview part went REALLY well. I think I had more of the "attitude" than anyone else there, that's for sure. So, if I don't make it, I will know it wasn't for my lack of trying, I was just outskated!!
But man do i hurt everywhere. Practiced for hours yesterday, fell and bruised myself all over, then tryouts today. EVEN MY DAMN HAIR HURTS!!! And I think I Sprained My Butt!!! I will try to post pics of all my lovely bruises!!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me everyone!!!!
