Here's the official Link for Burlesque top 50! I'd appreciate it so much for your vote as it's been SUCH a huge adjustment not being on a stage every weekend or traveling for Burlesque and magic! My stage name is Quinn Stefani, I've been singing no doubt and Gwen Stefani since i was little and some of my last memories of middle school was hearing Gwen stefanis solo stuff on the bus ride home. As i got into being Harley Quinn 4 years ago, realizing this character was something i could connect with in more ways than one as well as multiple outfit options, i realized my stage name could easily be both the names of the personas i bring to life on stage in some of my signature acts. (Bananas being my first!) i Once i dove into cosplay as a profession and not just a hobby, i was already a salon owner, nail tech and makeup artist of 5 years and was networking locally to build clientele for stylists. It started with performers coming into the salon because they saw we were alternative and open minded when it comes to style, 90% of staff was tattooed or had piercings, attended local goth nights,dj gogo or just knew the industry of entertainment in general. I was asked to do makeup for performers or be a backstage helping hand for the performers, a pastie expert, holding heavily crystals shell like pieces against someone's breasts, butt cheeks or triple checking that all bits and pieces are Tucked in just minutes before they go on stage is a whole type of stress! Some people thought i was a performer and introduced themselves, added me online and then i saw a whole new web of friends emerging, except these friends were empowered by their exposed bodies :)! Being raised by a one of the first dancers in Vegas was not like how sex empowerment is now. I try to understand how hard it was back then to exist as a stripper in the normal world. Be celebrated at night in privacy and be shunned from day to day life once u say u work at night. Seeing burlesque shows performed by teachers, state attorneys, per officers etc really changed my view on the life i wanted. I wanted to be a part of this and the history of burlesque, it's not about showing off a boob for a dollar, it's about the "art of tease" and appreciating history for slowly making it more accepted as a hot topic! I miss the stages so much and I'm hoping to travel to all previously scheduled events and festivals once safe to do so! Thank u for voting! Send me proof of tour vote and I'll send u some backstage pre covid footage! #burlesque @rambo @missy
