Hopefully you all bought a poppy!!
We have a giant man at T5 made of poppies...
Just incase I'd fogotten it was Remembrance day today, I had a marching band outside my flat at 10am! I was just about to get angry at the banging when the rest of the band joined in with the bass drum!
Went to Richmond park last Sunday which was nice! Another reason for wanting to live back here, so many parks! Richmond Park, Bushy Park, Nonsuch Park (that's no joke!), Hampton Court Park... et cetera.
I think I hear the marching band coming back now....... yeep, there they go!
SO I bought a tv licence, and 5 days later I get a letter through the post telling me that my details were being passed onto their enforcement team for not paying! I hate the licencing business or organisation, whatever they are. When I cancelled the one at my last house they started sending threatening letters etc and when I finally rang up to let them know I had no tv the woman said 'why didn't you tell us sooner' and I replied 'I shouldn't have to, if I don't buy a licence, you can assume I'm not watching a tv'. Bastards. I'm not a fan of the tv licence. In this day and age I believe the BBC should be comercially funded.
I bought myself a freeview box, but one with a hard drive for recording which I tested out yesterday and I'm quite impressed with. I managed to come in from the pub last night and watch match-of-the-day! To which I must add, 2-1 to Arsenal! Woo
Happy gooner for once!
I also recorded Dogma and a bit of Autumn River Cottage
So Friday night I went out in Kingston for Birthday drinks and food with Tony and his mate Tim. Drank more than planned but had a good time!
Yesterday was a pub crawl with the gang frmo Notting Hill through to Kensington. I took it really steady thankfully seeing as I started at 2pm. Had some fantastic veggie sausages and mash in one pub. And lots of whisky
Why are barmaids always so darn cute?
Loving being back in my home town. Friday night I got a bus home which took just 15 minutes. Last night it was a ten minute walk back from the train station.
Oyster cards are cool too. Even if it does have Ikea emblazoned on the wallet
Oh my word, what a relief, firefox just froze up but thankfully recovered my blog!! Good firefox, good boy
