I saw Naomi Campbell at work the other day. She got off of the train I was observing after an earlier fault. I did a double take but dismissed it as being her. Later though she was arrested and removed from her flight! BBC News
I was driving to work yesterday morning, heading down the Uxbridge Road I think it was, around 6am. It's two lanes and we were coming up to some traffic. I noticed a man standing on the path looking up the road which I thought was odd at that time of the morning. Then just as soon as I passed him I could hear a car horn blaring constantly. Then I spotted a Pug 106 at a 90 degree angle with it's side crumpled in, a transit stopped in the road, a red car facing towards me with a crumped bonnet and up the central reservation curb, then a motorcycle laying in the road, debris everywhere. There were half a dozen people stood around, but stood back as if avoiding a hole in the ground. But instead of a hole there was the motorcyclist, half in the road, half up the curb, with a single person knelt near him.
Myself and the passing traffic crept past the scene and I was just overcome with sadness. I had to hold back the tears. It shook me up, I struggled to get above 25mph after that. I hold out hope he was ok.
Spent the day missing Christina even more. Sent her some flowers that arrived that day which I hope she liked. Long distance relationships are so painful, stressful. But we've found each other which counts. Just wish I could hold her and feel safe.
Had my medical at work Friday. Due to working on a train system we come under the HM Railway Inspectorate rules and regs etc so we have to be deemed fit to work and drug and alcohol free. After the initial confusion when I arrived due to not having been officially booked in, I had the medical which conisted of hearing and vision tests, twisting and bending exercises, lung tests and measurement taken of my height and weight. Turns out I'm in quite good shape, I was especially pleased with passing the hearing tests with flying colours. I sometimes worry about going to gigs etc hence I started wearing ear plugs recently. Also due to having selective hearing I sometimes worry I'm going deaf!
The drugs and alcohol tests involve a urine sample which unlike the army, you do in privacy by peeing in a pot. The doctor then pours this into 3 different pots. Shockingly she didn't wear any gloves and managed to pour half of it down her hands and onto the desk top, which she just dried up with some tissue before thankfully washing her hands! Should get the results next week!

This weekend I shall play some COD4, listen to the footy on the radio, do some DIY.

Hope everyone is well
