Thursday, after work, I took the train to Bath to see Zoe. I didn't roll in until gone ten so by the time we got back to her place we were both keen to get some Zzz's. Friday morning we had a little wander around town and we had pasties for lunch!

After lunch I took the train to Cardiff to see Louise and to hit the town for the night to celebrate her birthday. We started off at a Wetherspoons where I had a yummy curry, washed down with lager. Jager and Red Bull is nice I discovered! Anyway we were joined by her friend Liam, plus Matt, Tom and Allyn showed up. Around about 11pm we headed to Metros which despite smelling like sweaty feet, played some decent music, and I even had a bit of a dance although Tom showed me up with his moves

Saturday morning I was up and out at 1045am to catch my early train back to Bath. After avoiding the huge amounts of dog muck (unlike one woman I passed who casually stepped in a load), and giving a Big Issue seller a quid for directions, followed by a bit of a jog, I made my way onto the train and back to Bath.

Back at Zoe's we bought some food for lunch and watched some telly, after which I went for a kip for a couple of hours. Zoe woke me up about five and we went to the station to meet her friend Richard from Bristol and we went and saw Saw 3. It was ok but not quite as good as the first two. In my opinion.

Afterwards we met up with Zoe's housemate Tim and went to a pub in town which was kinda cool. We were sat underground in one of the many alcoves it has. The DJ was playing good music too. We stayed for a couple of drinks before moving on to another pub which was really cool too i.e. the crowd it attracted was more alternative than the places all the townies were queuing up to get into. We had a few more drinks and played fusball. At one point I was eavesdropping on a couple next to me discussing yo-yos and the guy mentioned you could once get ones with drinks brands on and it reminded me of my Sprite one I had as a kid. Bit like the one below although I'm sure the entire rim was white on mine...
Afterwards we went to Schwartz Bros for burgers! We met 'The Dude' stood outside, yes we were that drunk that we nicknamed some random guy The Dude and I even ordered what he had ordered. Sad huh. I had a DOUBLE blue cheese burger with fries and onion rings, and my oh my, I know I was drunk but what a yummy burger it was!

We saw Richard off on the train before heading back to the flat and to bed.
Sunday I got up late and Zoe cooked breakfast. We sat and watched TV. I then decided I would take a shower before we wandered round town. I had it in my head my train was at around 3pm but then I had doubts that maybe I got back home at 3pm. Anyway I decided to check my ticket. My hunch was right, I got back at around 3, I actually left bath at 12:22pm. I looked at my watch and it was 12:20pm!! My heart sunk and pondered how much it was going to sting my wallet to get on the next train. I went into the living room to tell Zoe and as I walked in I saw her radio controlled clock next to her informing me it was actually now 11:21am! Hooray for the clocks going back an hour! I showered and we wandered to the station and I got my train home.

To be fair, I was reading in a pub in Durham... so I probably WAS more intelligent than anyone else there

thanks to your handy reminder, I partook of one this evening. it wasn't bad, but I might not have been sufficiently drunk...
