So one year ago to the day I picked up the keys for my very own first home.
One whole year. It's flown by, the older I get the quicker time seems to pass. I learnt a lot about buying a house and I should be a lot wiser next time to all the hidden costs etc. Plus you learn that you can't judge a book by it's cover. It's not until you move into a home that you really discover all the blemishes. I kept finding dog hair for months! Plus when I stripped the living room of wall paper it was quite frightening to see the patchwork of plaster!
In the year that I have been here a lot has happened in my life too. I moved jobs from Heathrow to Stansted, leaving engineering to work in retail. I'll find out in October whether I stay or go back.
Zoe and I sadly broke up and she is now looking to move out which I feel is for the best as even our friendship has been strained lately. I don't want to lose her as a friend too.
I've had some enjoyable holidays, plus the most I've had in one year easily! First there was Malta which was different! Then Vancouver/Squamish ~ Canada which this made me reconsider whether I want to snow board again! However I also met an amazing lady who I subsequently went to Amsterdam ~ Holland with which was the most amazing holiday in so many ways! Then more recently I went boating on the Norfolk Broads which I really enjoyed.
Concerts have been fun too, not that I go to many but I finally got to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, twice! Once in London and a week later in Amsterdam. Plus seeing Hot Hot Heat was unforgetable in a small bar in Vancouver. The biggest suprise for me was how much I enjoyed Feeder who I saw in Amsterdam and bought their greatest hits album as soon as I got to the airport to catch a flight home.
So, I'll be 25 next month. A quarter of a century. Life is good. I'm never been this happy with who I am, my self image. I've clearly had a few issues with relationships but it's all a learning curve. Who knows what the next year will bring, if it's anything like the past year, then I can't complain. For all it's ups and downs, it's been memorable!

Spoke to Paul this week. He's looking to move out to Canada by the end of the year and by the sounds of it, he'll be selling up in Squamish and moving to Calgary so I'll get to see more of the country! I might visit Vancouver one last time though to help him pack up and move!
Rolling Stones tickets have arrived, roll on the 22nd August!
The first game was played at the Emirates Stadium yesterday, the new home of Arsenal. I think it looks awesome! Thierry Henry scored the first goal!
Oh and my PA is now 6mm!

I'd love to see the Rolling Stones - the tickets on ebay are ridiculous prices.
