Things and people continued to melt today. A mirage-like trend threatening the dominion of lifeless grey fog.
It's like being forced to sit in a too stale waiting room, slowly decomposing in an attitude of unnatural exhaustion. An atmosphere of dull mediocrity that despite one's best efforts, manages to instil a mild sense of paranoia and an anxious certainty that there will be permanent damage. Trapped in some bizzaro hell where the punishment is unavoidable claustrophobic boredom while life slowly drips from motionless and hanging fingertips. There are no windows to open, no doors offering escape. All that lingers, like a mocking promise, is the knowledge that nothing less then a miracle of planetary physics will end the insensate suffering.
But slowly, ever so subtly, the vapour rises and the grey dissolves and somewhere inside, amidst the dust, there is a glimpse of green.
