I AM SO PISSED OFF ABOUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS IN THE UK


i am used to the way that companies get back to you in 1 month and send you a leter which says either they would like you to attend a job internview or that they are not interested.

i applied for a big company here in the uk and first they told me that i should hear from them soon. then talking to another person he told me that i will hear back when they have a vaccancie for the kind of job i am looking for.

what i am looking for is a student placement.


i am sorry, but as a big comapny you should be able to know when you need a new intern. you should have a timetable when the current one leaves and when you need a new one. i send them my application more then 2 weeks ago.
first time i talked to someone of the phone it was a nice woman that seemed to know what is going on. then i talked to a guy who seems to be in charge for student placements ( i got the idea that he is just a student too cause he seems to be not informed about anything and doesnt care at all)
first he told me to apply online when i wrote him an emaild that i want to add some more documents to my applications (as it was just possible to add one document online). then he tells me he need an english CV. i call him .. tell him the one i attached online is english .. he goes "oh..now i see it too"

then he tells me that my stuff will be submitted to any free vacancies that fit to my application. ... well, i called him today after one week when he told me that.. and he told me that there is no free vacancie but i could hear back after christmas/ beginning new year.


HELL..... I WANT A PLACEMENT FOR MARCH.... DO YOU THINK ONE WEEK NOTICE BEFOREHAND WOULD BE ENOUGH OR WHAT?

i decided to call the nice (german speaking.. its a german company) lady but she is in vacation until wednesday. i am going to call then again.



and .. here in oxford are not many companies which attract me.. and i would like to come back in march for an internship...



i am desperate and really angry...

my english friends are not able to understand me.. as they think i could apply for all the crappy 5 people companies.. but sorry... NO.. i am sure they wont pay me.. and i am not willing to work for free for a company that is 100% uninteresting for me.


just because they dont give a fuck for which company they work (they told me so) doesnt mean that i dont..

i am going to apply for 3 other companies but then thats it.. if not i stay in germany.. which is not my favourit right now..


but yeah..
