It was the 'weeping philosopher' Heraclitus who said "No man ever steps in the same river twice".
His main thing was pointing out the massive number of different things something is, all at once. Rubbish is rubbish to a person but wonderful to a donkey, and vice versa. It's not a point about different perspectives - it's a point about them really, literally being all things at once
