im the happiest girl right now. about two weeks ago, i was walking to the subway as usual. i got to the corner and saw him, stopping dead in my tracks. it was one of my favorite boys from high school - my original prom date. its been almost 9 years since ive seen him. nine fucking years. we gave big hugs and he promised to call me. and unlike most men, he actually did. we spent hours tonight talking and drinking. its amazing how 9 years can wash under the bridge and its like there was no time apart. i never expected him to come back into my life and now im not letting him go. its weird going from 17 to 27 in one conversation, but thats what happened. there are so many people in my life that i think, well, what if? well, now i know the answer to that question.

after we left the bar, i was walking home alone, listening to my ipod. i have this one song that, well, especially when im drunk, is my favoritist song in all the land. i lost my lighter and asked these guys walking in the opposite direction for a light. he lit my cigarette and asked to hear what im listening to. i turned bright red. i said its funny and im embarassed to tell what it is. he asked for my headset. i took it off and gave it to him. he listened for a bit, immediately knowing the song and started smiling. he told me i was awesome. the best part is, only my baby knows what song im talking about - marcing parts included.
