a small piece, regrettably brought on by a friend's breakup with their significant other, which hit home for some reason right now. While commenting, and sendin a hug on their journal this came to me and I wanted to keep a record of it for myself. What do you think?

listen to your heart
it hurts, it bleeds,
it makes the world seem dead

but love, yet simple,
is always so complex
life goes on, and so do you,
even if tears must flow

In wisdom, in thought,
your feelings haven't changed
someday, somehow,
the sun will shine again

because to love, even for a moment,
is the greatest gift of all
for now, and forever,
you will never be the same.
