so this weekend saw 400 years since Guy Fawkes and a bunch of catholic assosiates of his ploted and tried to blow up the Houses of Parliment on the first day of house.
Friday i got invited to a gig at the Cuba Cafe in Manchester and got to meet the wonderful shynola. after the band had finished a few of us headed off around Manchesters Northern Quarter (for those that made it to the SGUK Meet a few weeks ago, Dry Bar is in the heart of the Northern Quarter)
after much drinking and dancing we ended up in a bar called Blu, never heard of it before, and dount i could find it again unaided, but it was a nice sixe with room to dance and a warm atmosphere. i also bumped into my old p.e. teacher from high school who was seriously worse for wear and not best pleased to see me
shynola even went out of her way to give me a lift home before heading across the M62 to Yorkshire, where she finally got to get drunk. thanks once again sweety
saturday i went to see the fabulous Mr Scruff at one of te worst clubs in manchester, the Music Box (which is owned by the same guy that owns Jillys Rockworld upstairs ). danced a lot and drank lots of water, but didnt know anyone in there so i left around 1am, when i started to get hungry, and moved onto Rock Kitchen for the last 2 hours of the night. got a taxi home with some friends from RK, climbed into bed as soon as i got home and slept for around 11 hours and havent done much since. except watch Manchester United stuff Chelsea and end their 40 match unbeaten run, as well as restrict their lead to 11 points at the top of the table
though all this means that its only 7 days until the next major landmark in my life and 7 weeks until everyones favourite bearded bloke visits
how did everyone spend thier weekends and did you all have fun?
