Had a rather bland day yesterday. I got invited to that house party again. To party, I don't drink. So how much fun do these girls think I can have at a drinking party? It once again fell through. Which was ok too
I invited Angie & Amy to dinner & a movie. We did the Olive Garden thingy. Ok but I won't kill anyone for it. I might offend someone to eat there, but only if nothing else is open!
We then saw the movie, Darkness. Well it was ok. But I was struck by the impression of old 60's horror movies. Almost scarry, but not quite doing it.
Which brings back a memory of the movie The Exorcist. I was just out of high school a few months. Working as a night stocker at a grocery store. I was up late that day and went to the movies very tired, and with a girlFRIEND, not even a kiss goodnight friend.
I was tired. I do get grumpy when tired sometimes. Most other times, I get in a weird funny mood. Annoyingly funny even!
I was asked several times to stop laughing by the ushers. Then asked to leave, "you are distrbing the other patrons with your laughter." To which I replied, "their screaming is disturbing me."
I left, she stayed, I waited in the lobby until it was over to take her home. Got a free pass to any 'other' movie. So I guess it wasn't all bad. I still snicker when I watch that movie.
I remember making it snow in Australia one Christmas. A young lady I was sharing a flat, errr apartment, with was from Canada. It was in the freeking 90's. December is, after all, their summer.
Well I buy 4 cases of cheep laundry powder and lug it onto the roof over her bedroom window. About midnight I comment that it looks like its snowing. Climb the ladder and her best friend yells, "hey! its snowing!"
So for 15 minutes or so it snowed for her. It was fun, right up until I heard her crying. She was really homesick. But I found out a few minutes later she hadn't had a mental break-down, she was just happy. So it was good.
The stuff you do to make people happy. It can be fun. Even if it is scarry sometimes.
