Started my sleeve today! I've wanted to do an Egyptian themed sleeve for a couple years now and I've finally figured out everything that I want.

I started with 3 of 7 pieces so far.

First one is the symbol for Earth from the movie/show Stargate

Second is right under it. Anubis with heavy armor on. Anubis' name meant "He who is upon his mountain" which underscores his importance as a protector of the deceased and their tombs.


3rd piece i got done was the Egyptian Ankh. It means "The key of life" or "Eternal Life".


I'm going back in 2 weeks to get the shading done on those 3 pieces, then we start the biomechanical (very H.R. Giger influenced) stuff in the background tying everything together.

Didn't hurt at all...I was definitely surprised!

I'll try to take better photos once it all comes together.
