WHAT A FUN DAY YESTERDAY!!!
The other day I ran into a friend that I was sure had moved away (or was dead, or something like that), and it turns out that he and his girlfriend have bought a cabin on the lake! So, yesterday, another friend and I go out there and spend the day on the boat... so much fun!
I tried wakeboarding for the first time! IT WAS GREAT! I actually got up on the thing and skimmed around on the water a little before smacking head-first into the water... I was surprised that it wasn't much different from skateboarding, once I got going.
I also tried wake-skating, which is exactly the same as wakeboarding, but the board isn't strapped to your feet, so it is apparently (as proved by my flailing about in the water) much harder.
Yesterday was also Canada Day (kinda like July 4th for Americans) and a buddy and I traveled down to Kelowna (the next town over) and watched their fireworks show. It was pretty rad, and went on for a looong time, which is nice... I remember a few years ago, in Vernon, the fireworks only lasted about 45 seconds! They got a lot of complaints about that, and I'm sure they won't make that mistake again!
Well... this is the longest journal I ever wrote in here... and it's not as witty or sarcastic as is my norm... that's only because something actually HAPPENED to me today, there was actually stuff to talk about! BUT, I'm sure those fun, witty journals will be back soon, so don't fret!
As for now? A kitty kat.
