... tonight is the first quiet night i've had since i've been in louisiana, i'm feeling like crap, and looking even worse. staying up drinking with old friends until 5 a.m. doesn't do much good for your health or appearance. caught the slackers last night at a bar/brewery downtown that i booked them at a few years ago, hung out with them for a bit afterwards, it's always cool seeing those guys, and they always put on a hell of a show. the opening band was pretty rockin' as well, and they were super impressed with my elvis costello t-shirt, so much that the guitar player (in a very drunken state) almost got in a fight with some kid about it, it was very odd, i don't think i ever got the entire story. ahh, being back home sure is fun, i'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that it's only for two weeks...
