I was in the hospital for some time: my weekend
sucked. They thought I had contracted Mono, which would have sucked because I would have just gone home to Chicago and nursed myself back to health. So yeah,
hospitals are unpleasant. And in that vein, more
good news: it was an local infection. Not as contagious as I had
hoped (I will not be able to plague the city) but I am happy for my dearest lover who
may not have to be my first victim after all.
And in addition, I look like a heroin addict.
(track marks from the IV and multiple shots of this and that)
Although, if I ever doubted a certain frienship, I no longer have the grounds for any uncertainty. My friend, after receiving a mysterious semi-cryptic phone call from my doctor at St Luke's, came to spend the rest of my stay with me. He even left me his iPod. And if you knew the relationship of him and his music, this would come across as a very kind act. lol
Today, due to the repurcussions of my illfate I will take myself out on the lawn with a blanket and books and I will read. Read like I haven't read in weeks. I was just discussing this very topic with my dear flaneur. I believe he would agree that the opportunity does not present itself often enough, and a full day of reading is very cathartic.
So, being that I am awake (after 9 hours of sleep in the hospital followed by my release and then 14 more hours of sleep) I feel that it is time to take a shower and get some fresh air.
I'm still going home in 3 days and am growing weary of certain pseudofriendships.
So, my darling Artenysis I arrive in the Midwest at approximately 8:30 (pm) on Friday... I'm around for 4 days. The best bet for me to drag Tim on a mere jaunt of a roadtrip to see you would be Saturday. I've never been to MN, it might just rock my socks off. Let me know.

I can think of a few interesting infections that could simulate mono. St.Luke's is a pretty nice hospital, my grandfather did part of his residency there. Hope your reading went well. It's always nice to just take some time out for yourself, like alot of time, the more the better.
