My all-time favorite exercise honestly is coed cheerleading! 🎀 I took a super long break from it (as I also did from SG) while I was sick for the past few years, but recently I’ve had the opportunity to go to some open gyms and coed stunt again with friends! ✨✨❤️
It’s been absolutely fantastic having my body let me do workouts like this again, as fibromyalgia and autoimmune diseases have made it really hard to go back in the past. But I’m so proud that my muscle memory is still there for getting thrown up in the air & rocking my smile in basic stunts! ☺️
I plan on continuing to go do cheerleading again, and working on my flexibility - maybe even joining a non-competitive team. I still would really love to get some flexibility positions like a right bow & arrow, left heel stretch, and my previous ultimate goal - a needle (I’ll let you guys google those coed cheer air positions… they’re pretty badass though) 😘
But anyways, enjoy a photo of my first time back stunting after nine whole years! 📣✨🎀
And yes, single base coed stunting/partner stunting is where you jump and your base throws you into the air, catching your feet - it requires really good teamwork, fearlessness, experience, and coordination! The second guy is there as a spotter to make sure no one gets hurt since it has been many years since I’ve thrown stunts (ie. this was just a basic toss-hands to block)! I’ve always thought coed stunting looked SO much crazier than being lifted by three girls, which is why I taught myself 🥰😘
