Well, last year I wrote a time capsule/ future goals blog post, and this week's blog homework from @missy @rambo and @lyxzen is to look back and reflect!
Last year I wrote that I wanted to shoot more, and wanted to be more active in the local SG events. Well, neither of those ended up happening, either due to not having money or not having time. The majority of my life for the past couple years has been mostly work, and I don't honestly get to go out and do things as much as I'd like. Still, I've always favored having money and no time over no money and lots of time.
On the non-SG side of things, I wanted to advance further at my job or move up elsewhere, both of which I did, although I'm currently on hiatus while the company works out some ownership and remodeling kinks.
I had also written this:
To my future self: I hope you're happy. I hope you're worrying less, even if your stress load is more. I hope you're continuing to better yourself in every aspect of your life, or at least trying to. I hope you've had a wonderful year of marriage, and that you can't wait to have decades more. I hope you're just as in love now as you were when you first realized it. I hope you haven't lost any more good friends, but instead gained some. I hope you're doing well. I hope you don't hurt, and that the future looks just as bright then as it does now.
So, my new time capsule goals are pretty similar. I would like to be more active in the real-life SG community (and not just online.) I'd like to finally finish the tattoo between my shoulders that my husband designed for me. I'd like to start a family. I'd like to conquer some of my fears, and learn to battle my insecurities better. I'd like to do a bit of traveling. I'd like to be happy.
Dear future self; even if you don't accomplish all or any of these goals, try to be happy with where your life is at; remember all you've been through and came out on top of. You've got this.
