The second response I have is to just ignore it. This one is a lot harder for me because I've always let things get to me more than they should. I know, I know, you aren't supposed to give the person the power to make you feel badly about yourself. Here's where I rise above it though. If they're a shitty enough person to try to bring me down, I'm already better than they are and obviously they know it or they wouldn't try. I just have to remind myself, I'm better than that. I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of upsetting me and wasting my time and energy stressing about it.
I once read a quote that people dislike you for two reasons; jealousy, and insecurity. Either they want to be as good as you are, or they're upset that they never will be. I think this holds true in most situations (although I dislike several miserable peons just because they're dicks.) What a good topic from the girls! @missy @rambo @lyxzen
