@rambo, @missy, and @lyxzen picked a good one this week, so I'll actually do it on the week it's due instead of much later! š I actually have a few skills I'd like to acquire!
This is going to sound kind of lame, but...I wish I could learn to knit, and also to crochet better; presently I cannot knit and am only able to do rectangular and square things with crochet; scarves, pot and pan holders/rests, blankets...my Grams and aunt are both a whiz at knitting and my mom is a whiz at crochet, so I'd love to acquire these skills from them so that I have an honestly learned family skill.
I'd also love to learn/acquire the skills of playing piano and ballet (mainly pointe), because those are two things I gave up when I was younger and have regretted it since. I'll probably never pick them back up, but I'll always dream.
A skill I always wanted to acquire, and DID in the last few years, was that of riding a bike! When I was younger, I grew too impatient with learning how to ride without training wheels, so I told my dad I wanted to give up. I told him I would just wait until I was 16, and drive my car everywhere. Years went by and I became more regretful and saddened that I couldn't, but a year after I met my (now) husband (and shortly after he proposed), he surprised me by taking me all around town to find a bike I loved, so he could teach me to ride, so that we could ride together. It's one of my most favorite things he has done for me.
