I always wish I had the courage to throw everything I own away and become a monk. I *heart* my ibook too much though.

I'm going through that one right about now, throwing out Stacks of Things and trying to get organized. I haven't heard of the band/music/etc. you mentioned, but I had a hankerin' for some Willie Nelson while running with the cows.

I've been delving back into Twin Peaks and Kavalier and Clay in the past few weeks, oddly enough.

I'm kind of in the same boat as far as Chicago restaurants go. I've only lived here about 16 months, and I just haven't had the time, money, or the right companions to do as much restaurant exploration as I used to do in Dallas, where I had an army of friends that made a lot of money and liked to eat nice food.

I haven't been to Azula; I'll definitely check it out, because I share your opinion of local burrito / taco stands -- they just aren't as good here as they are back in TX or CA, and I live in / around Wicker Park

Yeah, if you want to do some restaurant exploring, I've definitely got a list of places I'd like to hit. Some are pretty expensive, some not so much.
