Dum dum dadum..
Some days you can't stop humming a tune. Or several tunes.
The latter in my case.
Okay, the movie "Closer" sucked bigtime- I mean, oohh a movie about love affairs, how fucking fascinating and different from the usual mediocre crap in movietheatres. But there's this song at the start of the film, The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice, which is probably the most twee song ever, but it's soooo good. I'm humming it nonstop.
So anyway. Got the haircut, finally!! I feel sooooo much better with my short hair back. Yum. And the boy loves it.
Ordered a book by Oliver Sacks about the history of how deaf people have been treated in society since the 18th century, it should be fucking fascinating.
I've been doing a lot of reading on American Sign Language on the net and it's been really interesting so far, I really love the study on how living beings communicate. I love what I study. I love my job! Ladida.
Oh, the job at the bookstore is still good too. I'm thinking it's the dream job. Hope I'll get to stay, my two months trial period is almost up, then there's another four months (If at all) til I get a permanent position. Fingers crossed people!!
Meanwhile I'm drinking hot chocolate and reading Jan Wolker's (famous Dutch writer who lives in the town where I work) for the bookweek next week, watching the snow fall steadily outside. It's gorgeous weather. Glad I'm in here.
Counting my blessings. I'm very blessed. Thank you, Diana.
Oh anyway. I'm gonna go.
You know, I really feel like fries and a burger right now.
Hm.
