I'm still in quite the same mood.. I doubt the frustration I feel over my body and how it responds
to my medication and other influences will change soon.
The other major thing on my mind
at the moment is when my bestest friend in the world will find out whether or not the growths
on his head are benign or malignent. I've had people close to me in this situation before, and I know it ain't over until the fat lady sings (so to speak), I just never get used to it. I wonder if you can?
Maybe I just don't posess the skills to deal with things like these as a normal person.
Oh well.
Poo-tee-weet.
in other news, here's some of the more FUN stuff in my life.
Went to a Reptile Fair with one of my girls, the pic is a bit blurry but I'm holding the sweetest
little serpent ever. And she was so powerful ! Wow. I could feel her wriggling and pushing in my hand,
it was amazing. Too bad the boy won't let me have any...
Went to see the ever amazing Pearl Jam - twice. More pics will follow, but these are the major ones at the moment:
Me being stupid
R.t.l. Me, my friend Rian who moved to the UK, and her neighbour Morne.
Looking like canaries.
Eddie Vedder, about to hand us wine :-)
Friends at Goffert Park, Nijmegen in Holland. Waiting for the band.
My favourite pic from the show - guitarist Mike McCready looks like a giant about to bear down
on Eddie Vedder.
My sister, who is practically living in Norway now, came back for a week on the 19th and will be staying til the 26th. I was completely fucking sick the whole week but we managed to make a nice day of it in Leiden with the boy, his son and my sister.
At the end of the day we bought icecream and sat down at a square to eat it and watch the gulls:
There are times that I'm really glad to be working in a bookstore.
For example, when the new, final Harry Potter book comes out.
This isn't actually my book, it's the copy we got in on Friday afternoon in the store (got mine the next day through the mail), which I took with me during lunch hour to read the first few chapters.
Meanwhile I've finished it (in a 14 hour sitting - boy do my eyes hurt)
and.. well, WOW. I mean, WOW.
I won't say anything in case anyone is a bookdork like me and still reading or waiting
for the translated version to come out, but wow. Be warned. Keep a hanky close.
There, now I'm going to eat a sandwhich and watch some House MD.
I'll leave you all with a youtuber of my choice, a clip of my new obsession:
Hope you're all doing well and feeling good, have a good one.
Heeeey eindelijk ben je zelf eens in beeld!! Jammer dat die camera net effe in de weg zit.. In elk geval zie je er goed uit, meis, ookal voel je je misschien niet zo. Hope you manage to come over to the bright side of life soon again tho.
Vraagje he, your boy has a son?
