I've been keeping very busy with working in my yard.
I have a HUGE pile of mulch left from the big pine tree that I am using for some landscaping projects around my yard and driveway.
here are some pretty blooming things... which have all lost their blooms now except for the daylillies, their blooms are just coming on...
they say a Clematis, like this one, will continue to bloom if you pluck the old blossoms off but it hasn't worked for me
this is my white peony... I didn't get a picture of the pink one while it was blooming... and I have since trimmed back the tree branches and weeded around this since I took the picture... and that is why I now have poison ivy
and the daylillies... I have a bunch of these growing along the road by my house.
in the background there, you can see what is left of the big tree... that, and the huge pile of mulch.
and this....
the stump now looks like this
we started a fire on saturday night and roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, and made s'mores and mountain pies.... I LOVE doing that. it was a nice peaceful evening spent sitting around a fire
We never expected the stump to burn out that fast, but our friend who cut the tree down told us that it was starting to rot in the middle. I'm glad to see it go!
that's about all I got goin on besides workin...
We are also planning on renovating my kitchen, building a fence around our yard, and adding on to our pool deck in the next few weeks.... so I'm gonna continue to be a very busy gal
