Sometimes my family really makes me want to bash my head against a brick wall. Maybe then I'd stop thinking. Grrr....madblackeyed

What did they do now?

2 more months to go until I'm a Mrs. I'm starting to freak out.... Not that I'm anxious about marrying him, but it's a lot of stuff to do... and it's coming down to the wire!

I'm sure everything will work out. Just don't panic about things.

Still hanging in there. Progress is being made- I'm one day a week closer to being off the graveyard shift (which I have come to hate) Unfortunately, pressure is ratcheting up on second shift where we are chronically understaffed and overworked on some of the busiest days of the week. Ugh. On the upside, when I work 2nd shift, I can come home, take a...

I've been meaning to ask - when is the wedding?

You should post a picture of your dress. And yeah, they cost a fortune. For something that you'll wear once. Meanwhile guys get to rent their tuxedo, so they spend next to nothing.

Sorry your brother continues to act up. He seemed like such a nice guy when I met him.

I'm back!! Our computer sucked up some lint and the hard drive went out shortly before Christmas. I've been dying without my internet! We got the computer back from the repairman this afternoon and I've been online nearly constantly ever since.
Christmas was good- We had a get-together with my Mom's side of the family Christmas Day, Christmas with my Dad's side of the family,...

Happy Birthday!!

HUGS!!!!
geekygoo:
Hey there!

Sorry that Ive been gone so long. Im actually planning a big new journal post; for you and maybe the half-dozen other people that might care to look.

Ive been so busy with my current job. Every time that I think I have a handle on it; they complicate matters by adding a new aspect or upping some standard that I have already struggled to master. I once really enjoyed my job; I dont enjoy it so much any more. But Ill probably stay there until they let me go.

Of course, if your job is bringing you to such a state, you should seriously considering quitting. I would if my job was doing that to me. My depression was once very bad indeed. Medication helps, when I can afford it. But having my Hubbybear in my life is the best thing for me; his love makes all the difference

My best thoughts and wishes with you over your grandfathers health. At least you have your man there to be with you through it all.

This past April 9th, my Hubbybear and I actually celebrated our 10th anniversary as a couple and our 5th anniversary as a married couple. He did some really romantic stuff for me this year but Ill save that for my next blog post.

Blessings! kiss

My fiance and I are both fighting colds this weekend. We've been running the humidifier and I've been pouring orange juice down both of us at every opportunity. I hope I'll be considerably better by Thanksgiving. I have a turkey to cook!

I'm looking forward to December 7th. We'll be getting our year end bonus checks- 13% of our annual earnings this year. The company...

So how are you? Hopefully......better off than the bird.

I just wanted to say here in your updated journal, big congratulations on your recent engagement!!!!!! I said the same in your old blog post, the one that announced the news but I wanted to make sure that you could see it here. So what do you think it was that finally prompted your man to make you an honest woman? smile
northern:
Guess what? I finally caught up on your blog, including the lengthy, but really interesting one.

I'm really so sorry that I fell behind on your entries, and missed your engagement announcement. I feel bad about not being more timely in congratulating you.

I've never been in a threesome, but I'd be open to it. But I don't consider threesomes to be the same thing as an open relationship. I mean, you and your guy are both there.

It's been quite a while since I posted. Work is still much the same. I had my three year anniversary working there in July. Got me the immersion blender biggrin I was off the eight 10 hr day stretches for all of a month, and it was truly fantastic. I actually had energy on my days off, I could spend time with my family on a...

My 4th of July was entirely more stressful than I wanted it to be. After working a long stretch at work, I wound up busting my butt on my days off at home cleaning the house from top to bottom. He hadn't accomplished much over his weekend off. We were to have houseguests for the first time- from his family. Although we are not slobs,...

I am sorry that I am so bad when it comes to updating.

I guess you can be thankful that it is only his extended family that is such a bad trip. And you and he seem to be doing great, right? That's what's most important.

My tattoo came out ever better than I hoped. It's a bit more elaborate, with more clouds and a misty background. I'll have to get a pic up as soon as it heals.

About the adult fun Hubby and I had. I was a bit reluctant about posting that. I don't make it a point of honor to fuck married women. But she is a nice lady, trapped in a relationship with a verbally abusive husband. I felt she deserved to have some of the fun she craved so badly.

I'm very happy that I could help you. Feel free to drop me a line any time you might need a more experienced ear. love love

6 blessed days off. I also took a long weekend for the 4th of July. Evidently, the other gal on third shift at work is whining about not having any holidays off so far this year, and I was inclined to tell her that that was what the first year was generally like. You don't have seniority, and you don't have vacation time, and you...

Father's Day is tomorrow!! You must shop now!!

Sorry your work schedule is so rough. I don't know what to suggest, since you've already told your boss.

I'm doing okay. The first few days after Tigger died, I was kind of in a state of shock. I'm doing better now, but I still find that when I hear a noise, I look up to see if it's her. Things like that. She used to always run to the door to greet me, so it's weird coming home to nothing.

Something very interesting happened. I was at work, opening up an extra register because there was a bit of a rush... when suddenly I heard a familiar voice say my name. It was one of my ex-best friends. I didn't freak out, my heart didn't run away in my chest as it had on previous occasions we had run into each other. I was remarkably...

I vaguely remember you mentioning them.

Not sure what advice to give you. My gut reaction is to forget about it. It's a part of your past. You've changed. And it would probably end up being more trouble than it's worth.

But that's my way of seeing things. I've never successfully reactivated an old friendship. Tried a few times. But it's never worked, and it's upset me a couple of the times. And I find that while I may have changed, they never have. Or they're changed for the worse.

Yeah, maybe that's the wrong way of looking at things. But I figure you like your life the way it is, why dredge up bad memories? Why risk your current happiness to reactivate a friendship that ended up hurting you?

Of course, I'll admit that someone could make the opposite argument and it would probably make sense too.
