I'm back!! Our computer sucked up some lint and the hard drive went out shortly before Christmas. I've been dying without my internet! We got the computer back from the repairman this afternoon and I've been online nearly constantly ever since.
Christmas was good- We had a get-together with my Mom's side of the family Christmas Day, Christmas with my Dad's side of the family, including my Stepsister and her three adorable kids, was the weekend after, and we drove to Illinois the weekend after New Years to have a late Christmas with my fiances side of the family. Lots of fabulous food, laughs, and good memories. Among the most notable of the loot- a nice fire-engine red digital camera, and a Breadman breadmaker that I have been using the hell out of ever since.
Today was an interesting day- we had blizzard conditions all night long while I was at work, when the time rolled around for first shift to come in, only one of the 3 people scheduled to work made it in. My boss called in another girl who lived close by to help out, and I stayed an extra 2 hours, bringing my workday to 12 hours. Between the girl who came in and I, and the other lady being able to do the morning paperwork, we really saved 1st shifts bacon. However, I was half-dead when I got out of there. I drove home and crashed. Later I awakened to my fiance standing over me bundled in in his coat and boots telling me that my car wouldn't start. I was parked behind his truck, so he needed to move my car to get out and go to work. I went out and tried it myself, and it would turn over, but just would not fire up. I had a bit of a panic attack at this point, because I totally can not afford a major car repair right now. My fiance held me, told me we'd figure something out, and went and got a can of heet to see if it was something as simple as the fuel line being frozen. When we tried it again 2 hours later, the car started right up... and I breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Having the computer back is a perk, and my Aunt called me tonight about honeymoon plans. She offered to let us use her timeshare at a resort just outside of Fort Lauderdale, FL for a week for our honeymoon. I jumped at the chance (no lodging costs?!? Hell, yeah!) and she went ahead and booked us a room. I was thrilled. It didn't look like we could afford much of a vacation this year, but this gives us a chance for a very nice honeymoon for half the cost. Very exciting. There was a significant amount of wedding planning at our weekly breakfast with my Mom and Grandparents, as well. Looks like this wedding thing is beginning to take off!
How was everyone's Christmas and New Years?

HUGS!!!!
Sorry that Ive been gone so long. Im actually planning a big new journal post; for you and maybe the half-dozen other people that might care to look.
Ive been so busy with my current job. Every time that I think I have a handle on it; they complicate matters by adding a new aspect or upping some standard that I have already struggled to master. I once really enjoyed my job; I dont enjoy it so much any more. But Ill probably stay there until they let me go.
Of course, if your job is bringing you to such a state, you should seriously considering quitting. I would if my job was doing that to me. My depression was once very bad indeed. Medication helps, when I can afford it. But having my Hubbybear in my life is the best thing for me; his love makes all the difference
My best thoughts and wishes with you over your grandfathers health. At least you have your man there to be with you through it all.
This past April 9th, my Hubbybear and I actually celebrated our 10th anniversary as a couple and our 5th anniversary as a married couple. He did some really romantic stuff for me this year but Ill save that for my next blog post.
Blessings!
