Been very busy the last few weeks. Comes from actually having a social life for once. Now I'm back to my routine of work, sleep, and blog. I've been unofficially promoted to a full time third shift position. Despite being a newer employee, everyone seems to think it's in the bag for me, and I'm already scheduled for third shift after Fri. the 13th of this month. So, here's hoping. I could use the money, and a huge selling point is the benefits package I'd get as a full-time employee. Health Insurance is good.
I had yesterday off after subbing for a sick co-worker on Sunday- which was originally supposed to be my day off. I slept in, went shopping for a new cell phone (because my old one went through the wash and now periodically decides to manically turn itself on and off.) and then prowled the aisles of the local grocery store looking for something good to eat. No chicken or fish for me yesterday. Nope. I wanted BEEF!! I wound up purchasing two thick cut top sirloin steaks, onions, a big butternut squash and cream cheese and crab-stuffed mushrooms. I brought it all home and cooked it up for supper for my Mom and I. I crusted the steaks with garlic and a little salt and pepper, and fried them to medium, caramelized lots of onions to go with the steaks, and baked the squash and 'shrooms. Yum! Not bad even if I do say so myself. Now I've just gotta decide what I want to eat tonight.

Omg you made me hungry... now I have to go cook up some of that. mmmm ..... good luck with the promotion, hope you get it. It is good to have insurance....then again I get free health care... but the additional benifits help too.
