It's been quite some time since I posted a blog, so I thought I'd better get to it. Things haven't been too bad of late, other than being extremely broke this week because of a pileup of a huge doctors bill, student loan payment, and a rather hefty startup bill for my new cell phone. So I have a grand total of $.90 in my...

I'm really glad that things are going so well with you and your boyfriend.

It's good that you got a bit of a test for living together. I always worry when people move in together, that within a day one or both of them will regret it.

And incredible sex? eeek wink smile

Your brother is funny. I could never have the nerve to drive without plates. I mean, that's one of those things that's kind of hard to hide if you pass a cop. And without insurance too. He's very lucky he wasn't caught.

You have tornado sirens?

That's so cool. I'm not in a tornado area, so we don't have anything like that. I know a lot of people have tornado radios or something like that too.

Your useless tech support people should have told you not to make any food. But your useless interim store leader should have picked up the phone. She must have caller ID to see it was the store calling.

How much you wanna bet that she didn't even know it was against regulations to have food without running water? She probably only knew because of the warning.

I don't mean to be rude, but why are you so broke? You work a lot of hours and I'm not sure, but what do you pay for rent? Although I guess if you had a big doctor's bill, that could do it. Are you okay?

A new cell phone? What's that make? Number 147? biggrin

I'm a little on the sleep-deprived side, so bear with me. My birthday Feb. 28th was relatively low-key. Initially, we had family members who said they were going to come to my hometown to celebrate a joint birthday- mine and my Aunt's (it still feels strange to call her my aunt when she's only 5 years older than me). Due to crappy weather and previous...

Yay!!

Glad that things are working out with him.

Sorry for being so out of touch. It's not just you - I basically disappeared from everyone.

Your dad got you a whip for your birthday?? eeek

Last week was shitty. I had a close encounter with a snow plow halfway through my work week and wound up having to be winched out of the ditch. My bumper was cracked, but the snowplow's blade looked much worse. Twisted my ankle at work the next day slipping on the water my co-workers had tracked in behind the counter. I had fun standing on...

Sorry that you have been having such a hard time of it lately. But I think that if you can get more alone time with your man your feelings will improve! wink

Happy Birthday!!

HUGS!!!!

Glad things are good with the bf. I mean, if your big complaint is that you don't see him enough, that's pretty good.

Sorry I've been out of touch.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and a fun and relatively hangover-free New Year. I went to Minneapolis (yes, I am aware of the idiocy of heading NORTH of all directions in December) with my Mom and brother to visit family and have an early Christmas there. Other than some interesting driving conditions where we witnessed the aftermaths of a few pretty spectacular crashes,...

You seemed to receive a lot of toys too, I mean knives o.0 awesome. I like new knives. They make me feel like a chef. Or a mass murdered, I prefer the former. I am glad you are getting along well and have found someone to get along with. It is hard to find a person like that so score for you biggrin

I'm very much alive. biggrin

I'm just super-busy. For the last several months, I've actually had a full-time job that has actually lasted for several months. I can actually get some over-time every now and then too.

I have a few other things going on. I've found a few new on-line RPG games, mostly based on the world of Anita Blake, that I really love. Plus I'm really trying to spend more time with my Hubbybear, doing various things with him. wink blush And I am making another attempt to try and get in better shape this year.

I'm very glad to hear that things are going so well for you now.

The 15th of November was my day from hell. I worked all night, then took my mother to Ames to have surgery on her heel that morning. It was a minor surgery surrounded by hours and hours of waiting. I still prayed hard when they took her into surgery because a simple mistake in anesthesia could have killed her. She came out just fine, so...

I'm really sorry for your loss.

And I'm so sorry for being late with knowing about it.

HUGS!!!!

I'm really glad that things are going well with the boyfriend. Tell me more about him.

As for Thanksgiving, well, here we celebrate it at the beginning of October, so I can barely remember it.

Well, it was just my mom and I. And we had KFC.

Seriously.

Yes, that was a weak Thanksgiving effort even for us. Normally we at least make our own supper.

I noticed that I recently paid for another 3 months on this site, and I haven't been on this site in weeks if not months. A shame because I really enjoy this site and the people I've met here. I just don't get online regularly anymore, but I'm going to try and catch up on what's been going on with my friends here and keep...

Hey there!!

I'm alive!!

I've been fairly absent from SG for a few months, so I apologize for not commenting on your last entry.

And I'm sorry I never replied to your last email. That's totally my fault, and I have no good excuse for it either.

Sorry you got dumped. How's the current guy?

I'm glad you still have the goal of returning to school. Yeah, I know I can be a pain about pestering you to go back to school.

Glad you're on anti-depressants. I mean, if they're doing good, then that's great.

Please share some pictures of the Goth you. I'd love to see them.

HUGS!

I.... am ......ALIIIVE!

I can't believe I haven't posted a blog since April. *hides face in shame* News in my world... Another relationship crashed and burned, although not as spectacularly as some in my past, still the little nocturnal creature working my butt off at a local convenience store at night, still saving money to go back to school (It's increasingly tough as my car...

Things are going pretty good for me. I paid off the nearly $2000 balance on my credit card. I blitzed it- making big payments that were nearly twice the minimum. That really took a bite out of my income, it's a relief to actually see the money from those payments go back into what I can actually spend a month. I wound up having to...

I want one of those 80GB video iPods.

Yes, I'm greedy.

It's on my list of things to buy when I win the lottery.

Sorry you and your bf don't see much of each other. What's in Ames to do? Especially with college being summer vacation now.

I love the idea that your boss doesn't actually realize how many customers they get at night. I mean, isn't everything computerized so that they can just look at some sort of stats or graphs? Or, the old-fashioned way - looking at sales figures.

I went on a shopping spree for clothes too. You'll have to read my blog for more information about it. smile

Wow, I can't believe it's been over two months since my last post. Haven't been on SG that much, obviously. whatever I've been working a lot, and reading like crazy. I've gotten a voracious reading bug, and for some reason, it just isn't going away. I've spent more money on books in the last few months than DVDs- which is a complete turnaround. Normally (well, for...

I won't shoot you.

I can't believe you actually posted an entry and I didn't see it for two weeks!! Yikes!!

My bad.

Sorry your car is dying.

I once got a flat, didn't realize it at first, so I kept driving. Apparently, that damages the car, I discovered.

Years ago, my mom's minivan had a gas guage like that. We had to get into the habit of filling the tank often, for fear of running out, because it would show half a tank, and then suddenly plummet to empty and start flashing the low fuel light.

I dread being without power for days. I've been very lucky that it hasn't happened to me. Other parts of Ontario have had ice storms or wind storms that have knocked out power to people for a week. I worry if the power goes off for an hour.

I have no idea where my candles are, though I do have some. I also have a couple lighters and some matches, but no idea where. And I'm certain I have a couple flashlights. But, yeah, I'd be hard pressed to find them in the dark.

Well, the dinner last week went really well. I expected some akward small talk, not much else, but we wound up getting into a really deep conversation. I was so wrapped up in what we were talking about I completely forgot about eating. I've seen him almost every day since... he comes in to see me at work almost every night, I went out again...

I made the mistake of introducing my brother to Weird Al's parody "White and Nerdy"... and now it's his new obsession. He about drove me crazy last night until I got the music video for him to watch. Yes, I get excited about new music, and I might listen to a new track over and over for a few days... but every other phrase coming...

Renaissance fairs?

I did not know that.

I'm trying to eat better. It's hard, because junk food tastes so good.

Hope you had fun at dinner. You'll have to update us on how it went.

I need to listen to the new Weird Al album. I think I heard the single from it but only once.

My computer got fixed!! Yay!!! I don't have to buy a new one! Unfortunately, repairing whatever the hell the virus did to it required completely uninstalling and reinstalling windows... so although they managed to leave my antivirus program and most of my files (including mp3s!) on my computer, I have to reinstall seven key programs. So it will be a few days yet before I...

That's great that they were able to save your mp3's. I'd be crushed if I lost mine - I've spent years getting them.

I've been having a screwed-up sleep schedule too. Thankfully I don't have too much trouble sleeping even when my neighbours are being loud.
