So... I am typing on my new apple - which I happen to be most excited about. She is beautiful and running very well and very easy to use - apart from upgrading my pc skills to mac - not having much in the way of problems. And my printer is dreamy - she scans my negatives - so I may never pay to get my films developed again - wouldn't that be nice??
So I went to Horrorpops on Wednesday night - and it was a great show. I saw BiancaRose there but we didn't chat much (sorry Bianca!). It was a great show with a fantastic turn out but for some reason I got really crowd-a-phobic and really just wanted to be at home. I have to say the 'pops' were consistant with their sound - excellent quality but... I felt a little covered in (dare I say it) cheese. On one side I'm like excellent I love dances - and gorgeous punk rock dancers that added so much fun but then the music purist voice in the back of my head that I try to squash was saying 'but if you're good you don't need dancers' ... so I ended up having this war over the whole thing but... you know what I enjoyed the most? To see so many girls there drunk and having fun and singing along.
Tonight - Sigur Ros. Should be interesting - maybe more Andy and my style at the moment. We think we're old and married. We think we don't have that much in the way of fun anymore. We're having that when we go out we get that feeling like you'd just rather be at home. I hate being that person and I hope it goes away real soon because I love going out. Maybe it's just because we don't have JoJo.
JoJo come back from NZ. What would I do without her???
So my birthday was a success and thanks everyone for the happy birthdays. 24 is pretty good - enjoying it now. I think next year I won't even turn an age - like I'll just give up on years. Who needs them anyway?
Last night I got to eat Morrocan food - a very good friend of mine is married to a Morrocan guy she met in London and he cooked us this great pile of food that nearly broke my pants. Oh I love to eat food. I also found out that this good friend is pregnant! Wow! So two friends of mine are going down the baby path.
Oh man I got to go down to the bakery and get breakfast. So that's me... hope all is well with everyone.
