Did anyone else watch movie classics on Saturday and Sunday afternoons when growing up? Because of this I'm going to waste my bigpond movies with renting classics! I just have that desire to watch something old world - romantic and beautiful.
So my friends had their engagement party - it was wonderful. Two people who've been dating for 6 years and own two houses together getting married!!!
Saw my x-boyfriend at the party who seems to be doing pretty well for himself. That's always good to see - he looked real well and happy. It's nice to have no bad blood with a break-up. Although even if there was strangeness there I would have forgotten - as I always do.
I spoke with my mother-in-law on Saturday. I miss my American family so much. They're just so lovely and complete... I wish I was there. Which is a big statement since I came back with a strong distaste for the us of a. But I knew that that was mainly due to the problems I went through when I was there.
My new fone is doing really well. She has a calendar.
So an update on the wallet stolen last Thursday night - we believe that it's possible the American guy we met stole Andy's wallet - we found out he was a little shifty. Okay well we heard on the grapevine that he went to a beat and got it on with a gay guy after he'd been with this girl that was drunk and hitting on him all night. Now that's a bit messed up.
It kinda really upsets me as well - Andy and I put so much effort into our relationship and it gets put through the ringer when you immigrate - so we take it pretty seriously... And then to offer someone advice and hear that they cheated on their wife with a girl who I was trying to get to leave him alone and the opposite sex for drugs? It could just be rumour but you can also spot a lying person from a mile away and he was a liar. I don't think he'd make it through our immigration process because of the lies.
Andy said that he's not serious about his marriage probably just in Australia for his three months and then to head home, get a dirvorce. I kinda agreed with him...
And now I'm going to forget about that - put it behind me.
I was going to go camping next weeked at Straddie but pulled out. Too cold!! So that means my weekend is free - maybe I'll just stay home and watch movie classics??
Oh well better get ready for work!

When I was a kid growing up in Florida, I usedta listen to "Old Time Radio" which was a show put on by the college radio station every Sunday nite. All these classic programs form pre-WWII days - The Shadow, Amos & Andy etc. So I understand the itch!
