so... the dsl hits in limit a week before renewal and I refuse to use slow internet so I've been off... maybe a good thing as I kinda found ebay... and I just can't stop. I love the shopping online thing not knowing what you're going to get.
Saturday night I saw AIH - and they were terrific. I recommend any music fan to check out this band and even if they don't like the songs I'm sure they'd enjoy the show. They put so much energy into it.... it's really inspiring.
I went down to the Gold Coast on Monday - I hate that place. Most people love it but I just find it so strange. The north coast is so much nicer. Andy said it reminded him of Hawaii and San Diego. I drank a good beer down there and I didn't manage to go to Ripleys Believe It Or Not - which I might add is a first. For some reason I always get sucked into going to that place.
I have an interview this week for my permanent position and I'm freaking out about it. I really need to prepare for it but I've so much to do around the place that I just haven't.
Andy's going for his Queensland drivers today. He should just be able to transfer his USA open license but he's got to pass the learner test. I think ours is a little more Andy friendly because it's diagrams unlike Michigans print out of a million questions. But I did pass on the first go. There aren't as many driving rules there but they do have weird weather rules.
Oh we have our last bit of evidence for our application - Andy's FBI check. And it's fine. No criminal record, which we knew anyway but for some reason you freak out that something is going to come back. I had one of those spy movie feelings when I opened it - "who are you really Mr Reynolds?" but alas, no he's not some secret government agent....
I'm going to Byron Bay this weekend - maybe. People are starting to pull out. And when that happens to the whole thing usually comes undone.
