Went out last night in West End and it was one of those really weird surreal moments in time. The guy behind the bar introduced himself and then insisted we met everyone in the bar. We had a theory at one stage that we'd entered a modern day swingers party and on the stroke of 12 it was going to turn into an orgy.... But no, it was just a pub full of friendly & happy people, and I just couldn't stand it.
Zach started talking to these strange 2 guys and then realised that one was his old neighbour and then I realised it as well and it was strange... Zach's neighbour being the Disables first drummer, can't frickin remember his name. But that was weird. Well actually Zach's old neighbours were the whole band the disables. But that's another story to be told another time.
We were at this bar to see a friends sister play. She's got real pressence. The kind of girl that gets on stage and everyone falls in love with her. She wasn't freaked out by the nice people, because she's happy too.
I didn't realise I was so miserable. Jo had a great time, it took her back to being a kid when you're just nice and friendly with no history or idea of who you're trying to be - just are. Then she got invited to a girls 17th Birthday party on Tuesday at the bar and realised she was talking with kids....
I got a new job. Back to admin, no longer a retail fucker. So maybe now I can like shopping again? Oh and big news - Andy got approved to work! We're still waiting for his case to go through but, it's looking good so far! I love our immigration department - they do an awesome job!!!
