so it's really cool to have someone stay with us. andy's mood has improved - he's been in a bit of a funk lately and that's been hard to deal with.
The last time we hung out with Corey was in Hawaii 2003 before our big move to the USA. I was really sick. I couldn't keep food down, not even a pina colada slurpee. oh man that was the best slurpee ever... i really love slurpees but not really the australian ones, cause it seems we do cola or orange in most 711s here and there's just no variety in that.
so all those memories of the USA came flooding back. getting busted by cops having sex on the hood of the car by a lake. we had drugs on us that they found but they let us go. it wasn't until i came home and read Reefer Madness that i realised how much trouble we could have been in... road trip to an airforce base in texas. white castle burgers. a bar in texas with a really dirty ceiling. having a conversation with someone regarding rap music on the radio and tv in st louis. learning to drive for the first time in my life with my mom-in-law at the end of snow season. being out in detriot talking to a guy who paints really big mural advertising on buildings only to find out he went to the same Alaskan high school as Andy. being in detroit and watching people circle in protest of a strip club with signs. dave and busters in hawaii. watching finding nemo in hawaii after only left australia for a couple of days and getting home sick. watching jet being on vh1 every 5 minutes and outkast on mtv on the 5 minute rotation. being addicted to mtv reallity tv shows.
i was so happy to come home after that year in the USA although i was sleeping on my sisters floor, smoking a lot of pot and working a shitty retail job. but now i've been here 3 years and i've got that whole itchy feet thing...
and now some might boosh. i've been youtubing a bit lately. i seem to go on internet rotations.
