hooray for new posts!!!
i've done a bit lately so i'm going to ramble a little about that... okay so here goes.
last week andy and i went to the deerhoof show and my disco were supporting. there was also another support band that was a bunch of a cute indie kids doing their indie kid rock that really reminded me of the 90's. my disco were awesome. i love those guys. deerhoof were so good i nearly died. andy had played me some of their songs and i liked that panda song but the other stuff was a little too noisy for my liking. but their latest album is so good. so on last saturday we bought it on vinyl at rockinghorse. i think it's even better because i heard most of the songs live. what was also awesome - is that every hot indie asian girl/boy in brisbane was there! and nana dresses are back.
i've rented a lot of movies lately. i really liked suburban mayhem it kinda reminded me of the girls i went to highschool with. you know the ones that want to get pregnant to indigenous australians for better single parent payments. it was funny when i lived in michigan usa cause it was the same there - american indians were the hot ticket.
i really liked that the prestige movie too. wasn't expecting it to be good because really... i'm not a hugh jackman fan. often i ask myself if i truly am australian? like Russell Crowe seems like an arse to me - not hot - hugh jackman is just a bit to frou frou fancy for my liking in a star man ... it did make me realise though who i do think his hot
yeah it's sad - but i really like bruce willis. was it die hard bruce or breakfast of champions bruce? i don't know... there's just something about brice....
okay back to movies i watched and liked. the proposition loved it. although you know watching noah taylor die so soon makes me a sad panda. i really wish they'd release the year my voice broke on dvd. maybe they have. i did find fraggle rock the other day.
i watch too many videos. i'm going to break my tv. but i did get a personal trainer so i think it's okay to watch as much tv as i do. getting a personal trainer just cements the fact i'm married, in a fulltime boring ass job eating way too much thai food (tom kha gai with coconut rice please). i recently have discovered that i actually love exercise and not hate it. funny how things work out.
so margie is doing really well. she's a pretty cool kitten. here are some photos.
so yeah - a lot of photos there... but she's a real cuties. speaking of cuties. husband and i got breakfast at manly the other day. it was nice.
i love food...
funny faces.
and finally... tonight i bought an iron. i love it so much. i can't believe how much easier it is to use than a cheap $10 iron... i didn't realise that there was such a thing as a quality iron. i just thought we're lucky we no longer had to heat an iron on a fire like my granny did...
and that's it. i'm totally excited about the dork-con this weekend. a convention centre packed with nerds, geeks, roleplayers and those cool kids that like the nerdy stuff but are too cool to be nerds - alike.
wishing everyone a great weekend and buckets of rain.
