Happy news is my favorite news, and that's what I love to share. I guess I'll start with my next set, coming out in 6 days. It's my first self shot set, and I think it's my best one in MR. My first set I didn't feel like I had enough poses, and my second set I took a little too long with the stripping of the clothes. This one, I corrected those mistakes, and it's a great improvement. So great, I decided to have a memebers only print give away for it.
An 8x10 print of this picture will be given to the person who leaves my favorite comment after the set has been out for a week. By favorite, I mean a comment that makes me smile, laugh, or anything like that. It doesn't have to be a paragraph, just nice and sweet.
Next, I'll be shooting again in a few weeks! I FINALLY get to do my Lana Del Rey- Dark Paradise set. Depending how long you've been following me, you know it's a long time coming. For those who don't, here's a quick recap: at the beginning of this year I talked with a photographer who was going to shoot it in one of those retro style wash rooms, and have her team do my hair and make up. I asked her about dates a few times, and she never got back to me. I haven't really heard from her in months, but she's been around. Then I had a friend who's talented with photography offer to shoot it, we talked about available shoot times, but again months and months passed with no progress. But now I have a reliable artist to do my set. It'll be the same photographer who shot this:
Hopefully the new set will be accepted though.
And I've also been wanting to work with hopeful photographers, and I had an offer from some great talent right here in La. I can't wait to collaborate with him.
And I get to shoot my set in.....
This baby! The choice of picking an outfit was soooo tough, but this one really stuck out to me. But no pasties for me. ;) I had a body suit with suspender tights picked out at first, but I decided to go in a different direction, especially after those tights ripped.
And that's my good, good news.
The regular semi good news is that last night I talked to an artist about finishing my ocean thigh piece. The THIRD artist I should add. I'm a shop nomad, but I usually go to this one shop and I guess I pick artists with the same spirit as I. I like to go to different places to see who specializes in what technique. The new guy has a great portfolio, and he does dot work, water color, and Hindi styles, and that's perfect because I have some pieces I want in those particular styles. I'm going to go talk to him tonight to put a deposit down so I can get an outline drawn. At this point, I just want my thigh piece to look good. It's so awkward right now because I'm in the middle of expanding it, and it has a few spots that haven't been colored in, and that's going to be tough to find an artist to finish that because no one wants to finish someone else's work. It's going all the way down right above my knee. I can't wait to say goodbye skin, and hello ink all around my leg. And that's about all I have for today! I hope you all are doing well also.
Love, DreamStar
