so ive met a new person online, and we friended eachother and messaged eachother a few times, and seemed to be getting along. but now i know theyve been online at least once since ive sent them a message that asked for their AIM name. ive gotten the feeling before this that i may have been bothering them, but i think thats just me, but i dunno. im kinda of lost when it comes to social situations sometimes, obviously.
so my question is this: do you think after about 4 or 5 days of messaging, asking for their AIM was too much? i dont think it is, i wouldnt be taken aback by it personally. i was thinking about resending it, but i think thatd be too much. i think they might already feel smothered. and if thats the case, how would i resolve the situation?
currently im thinking ill just not message them until next week sometime, and then send them something not having to do with asking for their AIM, just a random message saying hi or something, and see how its received. what do you think? i sense a fun online friendship here, and dont want to do something stupid to screw it up.
