My Christmas was great!
I got some good presents, and of course visiting my Mom's side of the family at my Aunt Judy's in Mooresville was just awesome. My Uncle Tom was relating a story about dislocating his arm and shattering his leg and how the attending intern tried to get his dislocated arm to go from it's frozen "high five" position to across his chest with horrible results. The intern used a few pieces of invisible tape to try and tape my uncles arm in an across the chest position. He had to move my uncles arm, which he describes as "torturous", and then once he got his arm in the desired position, after using five small strips of tape to keep his arm there, my uncles are sprang back into the frozen "high five" position, like it was spring loaded.
Anyway, much good food and good stories were swapped. Plus my Bears kicked the shit out of Green Bay this evening, so that's a present right there. Woo! GO BEARS!
My brother got me Sly Cooper 2: Band of Theives, which is excellent, but probably my most unexpected and awesome gift I got this Christmas was a pair of boxers.
You might be asking yourselves... "Well, gee, what's so special about these boxers, Nate?" Let me tell you.. They are A Year Without Santa Claus" BOXERS! Mine have the Snow Meiser on them!!! THEY TOTALLY ROCK! Unfortunately, unlike the song, my ass doesn't have a great back beat. Actually, this might only be noteworthy to Jason and Adam. I urge the rest of you to view this awesome Christmas Classic. My mom just randomly found them and thought I'd like them.. and damn, was she right! My brother also got a pair of boxers, but they are the less great (IMHO) "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown" boxers. There's a big picture of the sickly christmas tree bending under the weight of a single ornament on it. My brother looked at them with great disdain.. as I would if I had recieved them instead of my brother.
Yeah, so that's a little bit of my Christmas day. I'm back up here at my parents' house for a few more days.
Thank you all for the Holiday wishes! I hope some of your wishes came true and you got some gifts that you hoped for!
