I was hoping that by adding the "defenseless" to the animals portion of "stuff that works better when you kick it," the humor would be conveyed. Alas, it was not. Of course I don't kick animals. I have cats, for goodness sake, and I love them to pieces! I hope I didn't add too much unnecessary trauma to your day.
