So, we had a ton of prospective students visiting one of my classes this morning, and my friend bet me one dollar that I couldn't work the phrase "red-hot prison rape" into class discussion.
Well, I had pretty much kissed my dollar goodbye. But a few minutes later, I was making a point about how most people don't feel free to withhold consent from a police officer who asks to search their car, especially in New Orleans, where the police department does not have the most sterling reputation.
I thought I was on the CE boards when a classmate shot back with this well-formed response, "Yeah, well, I bet you don't call the ACLU when you get raped, huh?"
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.
I said, "Depends on whether you're talking about run-of-the-mill rape or... red hot prison rape."
I think I'll hang onto that dollar for a while.

You're in law school right? What do you think of it and how hard is it? I'm considering it and i know my abilities and think i could do it--after sizing up a bunch of law students i recently met that is. I know i have to take the LSATs and then apply to law school, but i'm wondering what your impressions on Law School are.
