So I have posted a video called "Starry Eyed" on here and youtube. The guy in the video is one of my best friends in the whole wide world. His name is Ben. That is his real wife alison.
He has a cat named Julius and in the blooper video I posted int he previous blog Julius jumps on the table.
Ben lets Julius out. He has a cat door and he roams the neighborhood. He has been doing this his entire time with Ben, which is over 10 years.
Tuesday of this week Julius has been gone for about 2 days and had never been gone. With Temperatures this week between 15-28 degrees Ben was worried. He made flayers, roamed the neighborhood praying he didn't find him on the side of the road. Nothing. Asked neighbors if they had seen him. Nothing.
I was on set yesterday and I get a text from him that the Neighbors dog had killed Julius Sunday and they lied to him about it and then gave Julius to him yesterday in a garbage bag. The Irony is that I was shooting a funeral scene for the next Gus Van Sant Movie.
Its a pretty fucked up situation. First of all I understand you cant control your animals but to lie about it then return him in a garbage bag. Julius was his pal and to see him heaped up in a garbage bag is sooo fucked up on his neighbors part. Ben was pretty upset and it got me thinking about stuff.
We all face death and I am not trying to make anything of this for me but if you all could send warm wishes Ben's way that would be great he needs the mojo.
Animals, friends, moments are taken for granted so to all the people on here I consider dear friends, you know who you, I love you all. There have been people here who I have slept on their couch or left sweet comments when I am down, Shared a beer with or made me laugh. You all rock and thank you.
I don't know what tomorrow holds, but today I know I have some awesome friends.
RIP Julius your last memory on video will be one of humor. Miss you bud.
