So it's Sunday.
I like how some people really get creative in their blogs and post pictures and make it pretty interactive.
I am torn in two. I have been a life-long democrat that leans towards the middle. I voted for a republican Oregon senator because the democrat only did smear tactics and had no substance while the Republican would go into schools and stared after school sports programs that I volunteered at. So I consider myself pretty open.
I really like Ron Paul, but one issue that bothers me, maybe I am ignorant, is national health care. I love how the democrats want stronger government and programs like welfare, socialized medicine and such....I like how Ron Paul is awesome. He would get rid of Income tax, which at first scared me but schooling is paid mainly by state property tax.
All in all I would love it if Paul was our next President. I like Obama too but Paul really just does it. He is something new and different. I think he is sensible and perfect.
the whole socialized medicine thing bothers me because you live your life as a kid with impressions your actions pay off. Go to school and get a good job. I graduated from the university of Oregon. I have fought and beaten off lots of other people for a job in production in LA. I work as an Intern now getting paid almost nothing. The positive is that it will lead to bigger and better things, but I don't have medical coverage. I have found it hard to breath for the past 5-6 months....like there is something stuck in my windpipe....I find it hard to breath but I don't have enough money to go and pay hundreds to find out it is nothing....so I don't go in....
Why is it that shit like this isn't guaranteed to every citizen of this country? I think it should be. Even if I had a job where I had insurance and made good money I don't mind a little more taken out to know other people in less fortunate situations don't get fucked..
Ok lastly.....
I moved to Los Angeles in June...and I settled into Culver City in August. I like it. There is a lot I love about down here....but you seriously have to pin someone down in this town to make friends and connection. I have met a few people from work. I just met a buddy named Jake and its nice to have a real friend...I met a couple of y'all on here but most live in places far south or far in the eastern mountains where Apples grow and returning text messages are far and few in between.
Anyways every team I want to win today is losing....how shitty is this? New York and New England in the Super Bowl? pfff I wanted the Packers....
I live life on these quotes so I think I will share.
It's not how hard you can punch, it is how hard you can get punched and still get up.
True...I just got punched this weekend. I'm still up. Going out for Dinner with kimbo and then drink with Jake when he gets back from Vegas....ciao!
These videos make me laugh.....

have you already read Of Mice & Men by Steinbeck? that's my favorite of his books, followed closely by The Pearl. as for other classics, i'm not sure. i'm pretty wrapped up in contemporary literature at the moment, reading Raymond Carver's "What We Talk About When We Talk about Love", Lee Martin's "The Least You Need to Know". both of them are short story collections and very quick reads.
